Scholars are children who demonstrate an aptitude and desire for higher education and whose families do not have the means to pay for their childs' higher education. A Scholar's eligibility for the Program is based upon the ability of the parent or guardian to demonstrate a need for assistance in funding their higher education. In addition, Scholars must complete an application and an in-person interview that addresses their higher education goals. Parents must also contribute to the application process by demonstrating how they will help their child get to and through college.

Marathon Education Partners is committed to supporting Scholars who take responsibility for themselves and are serious about their education. Marathon requires Scholars to make their best effort and be good students and citizens.
